It's as though Michael Tonello predicted the future of his own purseforumadvisory blog. In his own words (we'll leave it to you Google hounds to find the reference - thanks, anonymous commenter!)... and I quote:
"But this whole episode made me realize what kind of anonymous defamation is now possible in our age. Because next week, and the week after that, and ad infinitum, this essentially authorless piece of drivel about me will come up under my name in google. Today's society rag doesn't end up lining birdcages anymore....it is a bird of prey itself, forever circling through cyberspace."
Sounds like an aha moment for his launch of PFA. Write things about people that would stick to them in perpetuity, aka Google. We loved his concluding remark:
But hey, all publicity is good publicity, right? Right.
Sounds awfully like something he wrote on PFA directing people to this blog.
Whats' that saying? Oh, yes. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Google hound here. I found the article. Huffington Post, February 2008.
It's all lies. I was around when the whole mess happened. I lurked while he went off in rages that were so vile the comments had to be completely deleted. I lurked as he posted personal information of his buyers on tPF. And I lurked and saw him lie later and say he didn't do it.
So he is deeply aggrieved at the permanence of the Internet and his bad rep online, yet turns around and does to dozens of people what he hated for himself. That narcissistic man has no conscience.
He did get one thing right, though: People did not buy his books because of his actions on purse forum. I'm proud to say I stopped at least 2 dozen sales personally.
And I'm thrilled to report that the review I was given from the 4 sales I was too late to stop was--what was that word again, Mikey?-- oh, got it, unreadable DRIVEL.
I was there when the fiasco unfolded too. And I even commented on the Purse Forum. Which is why he hates my guts. Which is why I think he can't stop harassing people like me who couldn't stand the lies. He started PFA to get back at the people he hates. Over all these years. So you know he still can't let go.
